The Love Of Our Father
It All Begins Here
Sometimes I sit with a thought that feels almost too heavy to think about out loud.
Who could do what the Father did?
And before anyone rushes to judgment—no, I’m not suggesting anything reckless or extreme. I’m simply inviting us into a moment of reflection. A pause. A heart check. Because sometimes the only way we truly understand the depth of God’s love is when we allow ourselves to feel it.
This is what comes to mind when I meditate on John 3:16:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
The Weight of That Love
Here we have the Creator of the universe—the One who owns everything.
The One who spoke life into existence, looked at what He made, and declared, “It is good” (Genesis 1).
And yet, the very people He created…
Refused to love Him.
Refused to see Him.
Refused to know Him.
Still—He gave.
He chose a people. He covered them. He provided for them. But somehow, it was never enough. They wanted to be like everyone else. They wanted a king they could see. A way they could control. A life without surrender.
“They have rejected Me from being king over them.” (1 Samuel 8:7)
A Holy God Who Honors His Word
Here’s something we don’t talk about enough.
God is not only loving—He is holy.
He sets rules in place and honors His own word. He does not bend His law. He cannot deny Himself.
“God is not a man, that He should lie…” (Numbers 23:19)
So instead of breaking His law to save us, God fulfilled His law through His Son.
Jesus came—not to abolish the law—but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17).
He stood in the gap for people who rejected God and broke His commands.
That’s love with integrity.
That’s mercy with truth.
Now… Let’s Talk About Parenthood
If you’re a parent, you understand this part deeply.
Do you remember the day your child was born?
Those tiny feet. Those little toes. Those eyes that looked at you like you were their whole world.
I still have my children’s hospital footprints.
From the moment they arrived, all I wanted to do was protect them.
You teach them how to say mama and dada.
You watch them scoot, crawl, stand, and walk.
You worry about strangers.
You pray they make friends when they start school.
You lose sleep over things they’ll never know you carried.
Now Imagine God’s Heart
Now imagine a Father who cares about you even more than that.
A God so concerned about His children that He made a way when there was no way.
He sent the Way back to Himself (John 14:6).
He wanted His distant children to know:
“I still love you.”
“I still want you.”
“I still desire relationship with you.”
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God.” (1 John 3:1)
He wants to talk to you.
He wants to be connected to you.
He wants to hear your voice.
Grace That Keeps Us Connected
The Father knows we cannot keep His law on our own.
So He sent His Spirit—the Helper—who empowers us to live in alignment with Him (John 14:26). so nothing would separate us from Him.
“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1)
Because of His faithfulness, God cannot disobey His own word.
And because of His love, He refuses to let us go.
“Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:39)
Why Does This Hurt So Much?
Because people have turned their backs on the Father.
And yes—He feels that.
God is not distant or detached. He is not cold or indifferent. Scripture shows us a Father who grieves, who longs, who calls His children home.
“How often I wanted to gather your children together…” (Matthew 23:37)
He gave—so we could be free.
He sacrificed—so we could return.
He waits—with open arms.

Knowing God as Father
It All Begins Here
The Blessing of His Guidance, Protection, and Provision
Sis, the more I walk with God, the more I realize I need to know him as my Father. He’s not distant or unreachable but a Father who loves me, leads me, checks me, corrects me, and covers me because I am truly His daughter.
And when you really understand that identity, everything changes.
Because a loving Father will always guide His child even when the guidance stings a little. Even when it challenges your comfort. Even when it exposes areas of immaturity you didn’t know were there. His motive is never to shame you; it’s to shape you.
He protects us not only from the enemy but from our own limited understanding. There are things we want that He knows would break us.
There are paths we would’ve chosen that He knows would trap us. So yes, He redirects us. He corrects us. He recalibrates us. And all of it is love.
This is why God keeps calling us back to His Word.
The Word is our blueprint, our map, our constitution, and the wisdom that keeps us grounded.
And then He gives us the perfect pattern to follow Jesus Christ, The Way.
If you ever wonder how to walk, how to respond, how to live, or how to love… look at Jesus. He is the standard.
And here’s the part that humbles me every time:
Our Father owns everything. All power. All wisdom. All provision. All resources.
If the enemy can hand out cheap gifts, temporary pleasures, and counterfeit blessings to those who follow him…
how much more has our Father prepared for His daughters?
We truly can’t comprehend the depth and richness of what God has stored up for us. His love is an endless supply, His guidance is protection, and His plans for us far exceed anything we could ever create for ourselves.
So walk like a daughter.
Receive correction like a daughter.
Study His Word like a daughter.
Follow Jesus like a daughter.
And expect provision like a daughter.
Because your Father is not withholding from you—He is preparing you.
Key Points
God is not just God—He is your Father, and you are His daughter.
Because of His love, He guides you into what’s right, even when it challenges you.
His correction protects you from your own limited understanding.
His Word is your blueprint; Jesus is the pattern.
Your Father has everything you need—far beyond what you can imagine.
